What do you say to the bride on her wedding day

If I remember correctly, according to Miss Manners you do NOT say“congratulations” to the bride! You say “best wishes” to the bride and “congratulations” to the groom! The idea is that the groom is to be congratulated for his good fortune in getting that particularly wonderful lady to marry him.
